El projecte s’emmarca en el programa Interrupcions, l’acció central de difusió de l’Arxiu Viu de Circ, una de les mesures del Pla d’Impuls del Circ de Catalunya (2023–2026).

The European program Circusnext has launched a new call for projects to identify and support emerging circus creators across Europe. Its main goal is to nurture and stimulate the development of new generations of creative spirits in the circus sector, encouraging them to experiment and challenge current artistic boundaries. This open call is aimed at emerging artists who are currently developing a new circus creation.
Artist Workshop “Circussing and Circography”, led by artist and choreographer Alexander Vantournhout. This workshop offers a space for reflection and discussion around circus practice: how does circus function today, and how could it function? Starting from these questions, participants will explore different ways of understanding and rethinking this artistic language.
The 1st edition of the Hair Suspension Gathering is a proposal conceived as a space for meeting and community among artists who practice this discipline. Over the course of two days, participants will share experiences, exchange knowledge, and open up questions to continue expanding awareness around a practice that engages the body, sensitivity, and care.
