La Central del Circ is a space for creation, research, training, rehearsal and ongoing education intended for professional artists in the circus arts of all backgrounds and disciplines, which is part of the Barcelona City Council’s Creation Factories network, and it receives support from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

It works to support the circus arts and accompany artistic projects in the fields of creation, management, production and diffusion, generating synergies with other arts and promoting interrelationship through networks at local, national and international level.


Coexistence

The Central del Circ is a space free of violence and committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Comments or attitudes implying discrimination based on gender, sex, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, birth, or any other personal or social condition are not tolerated.

Any act of violence or discrimination is considered unacceptable, and immediate measures are taken to address any incidents that may occur. Protocols are in place to manage these situations and provide support to those affected.

Space Rental

La Central del Circ has a series of spaces that can be made available to third parties for events, filming, meetings, conferences, rehearsals, etc., on a rental basis, provided that they are compatible with the centre’s main activity. Companies interested in holding an event at La Central’s facilities can contact us to arrange the spaces that may suit their needs, as well as schedules and pricing.

APCC

The Associació de Professionals de Circ de Catalunya (APCC) is the representative body of the circus sector in Catalonia and has managed La Central del Circ since its creation. Founded in 2004, it works to represent, strengthen cohesion within, promote, and support the circus sector. It is a non-profit association made up of more than 400 professionals from different areas of the circus field (artistic, educational, technical, management, etc.), and it also promotes and disseminates circus arts within the country’s cultural, social, and economic life.
