The Under Construction demonstrations are a very special moment of presentation by individual artists and companies that reveal a first phase of their personal research. The aim is that these artists can confront the first stage of their research with an accomplice audience.
After the demonstration, a conversation takes place between the artists and the audience in order to open up and stimulate observation of the work presented and reflection on the work itself. Under Construction takes place once every month and a half or every two months, on Thursday afternoons.
Open Call – Trànsits 2026 Residency Program, supported by the ‘Barcelona Crea Grants – Creative Factories’
Through the Trànsits residency program, the aim is not only to support contemporary circus research and creation—conceived as practices and forms capable of contributing perspectives and dialogue to contemporary debates—but also to foster the intersection of disciplines and viewpoints.
This year’s residency modalities are as follows:
Research Trànsits (supported by the ‘Barcelona Crea Grants – Creative Factories’) – Two grants will be awarded
Creation Trànsits – Five grants will be awarded
T.E.S.T! (Technical Sensation Scenic Trànsit) – One grant will be awarded
Community Creation Trànsit (supported by the ‘Barcelona Crea Grants – Creative Factories’) – One grant will be awarded
Residencies will take place between January and December 2026. The specific dates will be arranged with each company based on their availability and that of the spaces. (Please note: La Central del Circ does not provide accommodation for resident companies.)
