La Central del Circ obre una convocatòria per seleccionar l’equip d’artistes de circ que formarà part del programa Caixa d’Eines, de Pla de Barris, durant el curs 2023/24. Les persones seleccionades desenvoluparan un procés de creació comunitària a diverses escoles de primària i en un institut de secundària del barri el Besòs i el Maresme.

From 2 to 4 October, with a previous activity on 29th of September, the 7 edition of Dramaturgy and Stage Writing Exchange Days will take place. Three days of talks, reflection tables and workshops around the circus dramaturgy.

The Under Construction demonstrations are a very special moment of presentation by individual artists and companies that reveal a first phase of their personal research. The aim is that these artists can confront the first stage of their research with an accomplice audience.

After the demonstration, a conversation takes place between the artists and the audience in order to open up and stimulate observation of the work presented and reflection on the work itself. Under Construction takes place once every month and a half or every two months, on Thursday afternoons.

Taula de diàleg “Escena híbrida”, amb Magda Puig, en el marc del Circuit d’Acompanyament 360º del 2n Pla d’Impuls del Circ, dirigida a artistes emergents de circ contemporani, establerts a Catalunya.

Magda Puig és actriu i directora de teatre. Ha codirigit, amb Oriol Escursell, el Circ d’Hivern ‘Glatir’ a l’Ateneu Popular de 9 Barris i, amb Andreu Martínez, ‘Thauma (un poema escènic)’ al Teatre Lliure.

Com és l’experiència d’artistes d’altres disciplines quan s’endinsen en una creació circense? Com és el procés de creació entre persones creadores que fan servir llenguatges diferents? Què implica la trobada entre la perspectiva teatral i circense?

Les taules de diàleg i intercanvi del Circuit d’Acompanyament 360º són espais d’intercanvi informal d’experiències al voltant de qüestions artístiques, coneixements i qüestionaments, dinamitzades per artistes i companyies consolidades.

El projecte europeu EKO – PIRINEUS DE CIRC organitza una formació per les persones professionals del sector (artistes, programadores, productores, distribuidores, responsables d’espais, i entitats sòcies i associades).

La formació també està destinada a les companyies i artistes que vulguin presentar-se a la convocatòria que obrirà el projecte el 2 de setembre per a creacions d’espectacles de circ.

From September 1st to 5th, the LEC (Collective Experimentation Laboratory) Remake will take place, led by the company La Supérette, around the show Nous on n’a rien vu venir…, which is part of the project Le Cirque Portatif, produced by La Verrerie d’Alès, Pôle National Cirque Occitanie.

Every Wednesday, from 10.30am to 11.30am, the Coffee meeting takes place in the common kitchen area of La Central del Circ.

It’s a meeting place for users, artists and companies in residence and the management team of La Central del Circ, with the aim of sharing a while together.

La Central del Circ is opening a call for applications to fill the position of Safety and Maintenance Technician for the afternoon shift.

La Central del Circ is a circus creation space that is part of the Barcelona City Council’s network of Creation Factories and is supported by the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia. It is managed by the Catalan Association of Circus Professionals (APCC).

The afternoon technician role is conceived as the person responsible for the technical equipment during the mentioned time slot, as well as for the maintenance of the space (minor repairs, warehouse control, etc.) and the safety of circus rigging and installations carried out during that period.

Deadline for applications: September, 2025.
