These trainings aim to facilitate the maintenance of the body of circus professionals and at the same time create a meeting and exchange space.

The training sessions will take place every Tuesday, from 10.30am to 12pm, from January to June 2024, in the training room of La Central del Circ.

The cost of each session for APCC members and users with an annual fee of La Central will be €5, and €7 for other professionals.

From February 12 to 16, 2024, the 7th edition of the Rupture and Transformation Week -also known as the Week of users – arrives in La Central del Circ.

During these days, users will take over the reins of the equipment, organizing activities such as research spaces, music jams, talks, film screening, workshops, etc.

This Friday, July 26, from 8 PM to 11 PM, there will be a free and self-managed activity by various artists from the La Central del Circ community. It is a guided movement session, which will include a warm-up with dancer Santiago Maldonado and some free dance time with DJ’s Perrakeo Club.

This proposal suggests a journey to the origins of movement to free the mind and transform dance into a place of connection between music and bodies.

Taula de diàleg “Escena híbrida”, amb Magda Puig, en el marc del Circuit d’Acompanyament 360º del 2n Pla d’Impuls del Circ, dirigida a artistes emergents de circ contemporani, establerts a Catalunya.

Magda Puig és actriu i directora de teatre. Ha codirigit, amb Oriol Escursell, el Circ d’Hivern ‘Glatir’ a l’Ateneu Popular de 9 Barris i, amb Andreu Martínez, ‘Thauma (un poema escènic)’ al Teatre Lliure.

Com és l’experiència d’artistes d’altres disciplines quan s’endinsen en una creació circense? Com és el procés de creació entre persones creadores que fan servir llenguatges diferents? Què implica la trobada entre la perspectiva teatral i circense?

Les taules de diàleg i intercanvi del Circuit d’Acompanyament 360º són espais d’intercanvi informal d’experiències al voltant de qüestions artístiques, coneixements i qüestionaments, dinamitzades per artistes i companyies consolidades.

Dialogue Table ‘Humanitarian Aid from the Performing Arts,’ with Jaume Mateu “Tortell Poltrona” and Montse Trias, as part of the 360º Accompaniment Circuit of the Circus Promotion Plan (2023-2026).

Jaume Mateu and Montse Trias, founders of Circ Cric, Clowns Without Borders, and other artistic and humanitarian ventures, will share their decades of experience bringing the circus to places where it rarely reaches, generating a dialogue on the artist’s commitment to society and the world.

How can we bring art, and performing arts, to those who do not have access? What motivates some artists to move and perform for people who cannot experience live arts? War or disaster situations, geographical or social isolation: there are many and too many reasons why certain people or communities cannot access art.

The dialogue and exchange tables of the 360º Accompaniment Circuit are informal spaces for exchanging experiences around artistic issues, knowledge, and questions, led by established artists and companies.

Targeted at emerging contemporary circus artists based in Catalonia.

Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis (maximum 20 people).

2nd Trapeze Artists Meeting at La Central del Circ. This is a self-managed and non-profit meeting aimed at getting together to share trapeze practice. The only requirement to participate is to be autonomous on the trapeze, as it is not a training session. The meeting starts on the afternoon of Thursday 31st and continues until Sunday (all day). On the last day, there will be a joint closing.

Dialogue table ‘Dramaturgy’ with Chiara Marchese, as part of the 360º Support Circuit of the Circus Promotion Plan (2023–2026).

To reflect on the concept of dramaturgy in circus creation, we will host circus artist and author Chiara Marchese, who has just premiered Wonder Woman, the final piece of an autobiographical trilogy that also includes Mavara (2016) and Le poids de l’âme. Tout est provisoire (2021, Circusnext Laureate).

Chiara Marchese trained in visual arts in Catania, Sicily. After self-taught experiences in tightrope walking, she joined the CNAC in Châlons-en-Champagne, where she resumed her artistic research and incorporated work with contemporary puppets.

The 360º Support Circuit roundtables are informal spaces for exchanging experiences related to artistic questions, knowledge, and reflections, led by established artists and companies.

This event is aimed at emerging contemporary circus artists based in Catalonia.

Training Workshop ‘The Distribution of a Circus Show,’ part of the ‘360º Support Circuit’ initiative (Circus Promotion Plan), led by La Central del Circ in partnership with the Rogelio Rivel Circus Arts Center.
