The APCC and La Central del Circ join the general strike for housing rights on 11 November

The Associació de Professionals del Circ de Catalunya (APCC) and La Central del Circ support the general strike for the right to decent housing, called for Wednesday, 11 November, by various trade unions and social organisations.

We are joining this call because the right to decent housing is an issue that affects us all. The excessive rise in housing costs shapes our lives, limits personal opportunities and makes professional development more difficult across all sectors, including the performing arts and circus.

We believe that this is a shared struggle that concerns us both as a sector and as a society. Access to decent housing is a fundamental and cross-cutting issue that directly affects our living and working conditions, with a direct impact on artistic creation, touring, training and the professional careers of circus artists and professionals as a whole.

In line with this position, La Central del Circ will remain closed for the entire day.

We encourage you to join the general strike on Wednesday, 11 November, and take part in the demonstrations and mobilisations taking place across the territory in defence of the right to decent housing.
