La Central del Circ participates in the “Culture in the Neighbourhood” programme with artists Luana Flores and Marine de Grandmaison

La Central del Circ is once again taking part in the Culture in the Neighbourhood programme, organised by Pla de Barris. This year, it presents Díptic circense, featuring two live circus performances by artists Luana Flores and Marine de Grandmaison.

The performances will take place on Saturday, 31 October, at 12:30 pm, at Passatge Prim, 16, in the El Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood.

As part of the programme, audiences will be able to enjoy Urdimbre, by Luana Flores, a contemporary circus and acrodance performance that explores the construction of identity and the protective mechanisms we develop to cope with our vulnerabilities; and Déborée, by Marine de Grandmaison, which combines Cyr wheel movement with acting and other circus disciplines.

Luana Flores is a circus artist specialising in acrodance and acrobatic partnering. She trained at the Rogelio Rivel Circus Arts Centre in Barcelona. She has presented the development of her project Urdimbre at festivals and venues such as Zona Off FiraTàrrega, the La Bisbal d’Empordà Street Circus Festival, Caldes Festival and the Terrassa Festival. She also takes part in community-based creative processes, such as Nilak’s project in La Fatarella (2026), and is a member of the interdisciplinary collective La Kancha. She combines stage creation with teaching circus and acrobatics.

Marine de Grandmaison trained at institutions including the Rogelio Rivel Circus School in Barcelona and holds higher education qualifications in dance and circus arts from the University of Toulouse. She also actively collaborates with companies such as the French company Cie Ni l’Un Ni l’Autre, taking part in productions such as Joséphine.
