La Central del Circ is once again participating in the Creació i Museus within the framework of the Festival Grec. It does so with the participatory and site-specific performance “TRANS-IT”, created by artist Zed Zanzu, in collaboration with La Model Espai Memorial, where the piece will be shown on July 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM.

TRANS-IT starts from the panoptic architecture of La Model and from the way a space can organize gaze, perception, and relationships between people. Through practices of suggestion, negotiation, support, and care, the project invites participants to move through different areas of the former prison and to observe what happens when relational practices are introduced into a space built under a logic of control.

Zed Zanzu is an artist, researcher, dramaturg, and curator. He has been part of research projects such as Circus Dialogues (KASK University, Belgium), has taught in the Gender Master’s program at UAB, and works as a mentor, dramaturg, and curator in different artistic contexts. His solo EZ, which explores power dynamics, agreements, and the negotiation of consent, has been awarded the European Circusnext prize and tours internationally. Zed is currently developing the participatory piece Who Cares for Whom?.

Creació i Museus

The creation factories and museums of Barcelona once again come together for a shared experience. A series of museum and heritage spaces across the city become stages for residents of the city’s artistic creation centres, who engage in dialogue through their proposals with the artistic, historical, or ethnographic collections preserved by each venue. This takes place within the framework of the Festival Grec.
