2026

On Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 PM, a new P.L.A.T will take place, led by Cia. Clara Poch, currently in residence at La Central del Circ as a part of Trànsits 2026, the research and creation support program.

On this occasion, we will delve into Clara Poch’s current project, The Shadow of the Dragonfly, a transdisciplinary piece that addresses the weight of inheritance and the repetition of patterns passed down from generation to generation. Through the story of a girl who assumes a destiny she has not chosen, the work explores the tension between inherited identity and the possibility of transforming it, within an intimate and poetic universe where voice and movement engage in dialogue to reveal the beauty of change.

The project is inspired by Carl Jung’s theory of the shadow and incorporates excerpts from the poetry collection La fàbrica by Miquel Martí i Pol.

During the activity, excerpts from the piece will be presented, combined with an explanation and contextualization of the creative process, followed by an open dialogue with the audience.

Clara Poch is a multifaceted artist—author, director, composer, and performer—and co-founder of Mumusic Circus (2008), together with Marçal Calvet. She has created and toured shows such as Merci Bien, Petits Prínceps, Amigoo, Flou Papagayo, among others, performing at numerous festivals and in countries around the world, developing a distinctive stage language that brings together circus dramaturgy and live music.

In parallel, since 2023, she has embarked on a personal artistic path with the creation of Cia. Clara Poch and the performance Lady Panda, co-produced by the Grec Festival. She now presents her second project in this new phase: a solo piece that continues to explore a personal research line around the body, risk, and identity, marking a shift toward a more intimate and personal creative space.

P.L.A.T (Free, Artistic and Transformative Practice)

P.L.A.T. (Free, Artistic and Transformative Practice) is an open space where companies and artists in residence at La Central del Circ have the opportunity to share, experiment, and test their creative processes, fostering exchange and dialogue with both specialized audiences and the general public.

The aim is to create a space of freedom and innovation that allows audiences to engage with the artist’s universe through whatever format or approach is chosen, without the need to present a finished stage piece.

The activity is free, with prior registration, and includes a meal prepared by a local organization or one connected to La Central del Circ, strengthening ties with the local community and promoting an inclusive and participatory environment.

Capacity depends on each artist’s proposal, with a maximum of 100 people. The idea is for the event to take place monthly or every two months, on Thursdays, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
