On Thursday, October 22nd, at 7 p.m., La Central del Circ will host a new P.L.A.T. event featuring the company Cherry Matakila, currently in residence at La Central del Circ as part of the Trànsits 2026 programme.

On this occasion, the company will present a glimpse into the creative process of Bleu et Rouge, offering us a personal circus at the service of playfulness and ingenuity. An invitation to experience up close the journey traced by its two protagonists, confined by two walls and surrounded by a multitude of people, together and yet out of sync. Bleu et Rouge speaks to us of friendship, of stubborn goals with a logic of their own, of enjoyment, and of the occasional surprise.

Against the wall, beside the wall, through the wall, in front of the wall, with our backs to the wall, on the wall, next to the wall, for the wall, over the wall, far from the wall, connected to the wall, despite the wall, and whispering close to… Our bodies seek, in its tangible resistance, a support, a place to exist, a reason to be there. Or simply an excuse to experience, within this framework, the most ordinary, absurd and acrobatic adventures, and then to venture beyond what, once the surface has been overcome, invites us to explore the depths of human connection without ever losing our lightness.

Cherry Matakila is a company founded in 2024 by Barbara Ford (Argentina) and Simona Huber (Switzerland). They met during their training at Ésacto’Lido (2021–2024), where they specialised respectively in trapeze and Cyr wheel. Three years of shared experiences, intimate moments and challenges brought them together and, gradually, the desire to create together grew. Bleu et rouge is their first joint creation.
