The Living Circus Archive

The Living Circus Archive is an initiative within the Circus Promotion Plan of Catalonia (2023–2026), promoted by the Associació de Professionals del Circ de Catalunya (APCC) and led by La Central del Circ.
The project aims to create an open and participatory digital archive that preserves, documents, and disseminates the heritage of circus arts in Catalonia, connecting artists, companies, researchers, and institutions in the construction of a shared collective memory of the sector.

The Circus Archive can only exist through the participation of the circus community. For this reason, these meetings seek to foster the sector’s direct involvement, provide tools for self-representation, and strengthen connections between artists, institutions, and researchers.
