Trànsits

The objective of the Trànsits residency program is to offer support to the companies that are in need of a physical space and support to carry out their artistic projects (research, creation, rehearsals, etc.), encouraging artists to take a more active approach to research and challenge their work.

In order to meet the needs of the stage in which the creative process of an idea or project finds itself, and enable true progression, we’re proposing various residency formats, accessible to artists and companies following a public call held in November.

However, the format and conditions of the residencies evolve each year, in order to maintain their relevance and be up to date with contemporary circus reality.

Study in Progress / Work in Progress

The “Study in Progress” residency is designed for artists, collectives or circus companies who have just committed to developing a new creation. The idea is to finish the residency with a 20 minutes blueprint.

The “Work in Progress” residency is designed for companies that already have a definite project and are completing the creation of a performance longer than 20 minutes.

T.E.S.T. (Trànsit Escènic de Sensació Tècnica)

This method caters to the selected artistic team, offering the resources found in the Staging Hall, with the purpose of giving the performance its first staging opportunity. It’s required that the creative process is well advanced and the show’s premiere is scheduled for the current year or the beginning of the next year, the latest.

Dramaturgical Accompainement

The objective of this residency is to define a theatric route or approach for performances during their creative process. The proposal requires the interaction of an industry professional, not involved in the project, who can be selected even after the beginning of the residency.

Incubators

Focused on an in-depth view of the work performed by a company that has been identified by the Artistic Direction or the Artistic Council, as an embryo project. It offers the company two weeks to begin and/or grasp the depth of its research, together with La Central’s support for progressing their project.
