La Central del Circ participates in Creació i Museus with the performance ‘TRANS-IT’, by Zed Zanzu, a co-production with La Model Espai Memorial

La Central del Circ is once again participating in the Creació i Museus within the framework of the Festival Grec. It does so with the participatory and site-specific performance “TRANS-IT”, created by artist Zed Zanzu, in collaboration with La Model Espai Memorial, where the piece will be shown on July 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM.

“TRANS-IT” is a participatory scenic device that, starting from the panoptic structure of La Model, proposes practices of transit—both as trance and as transition—around suggestion, accompaniment, consent, and care.

Zed Zanzu is a researcher, performer, dramaturg, author, and curator. Their work focuses on themes such as gender, the body, disability, care, and artistic research. They studied Philosophy in Bologna and Circus in Montreal, have participated in international research projects, and have taught in the Gender Master’s program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. They also curate cultural events, give lectures, work as a mentor and dramaturg in artistic projects, coordinate research such as the Hyp_No Project, and present their solo performance EZ.

Creació i Museus

The creation factories and museums of Barcelona once again come together for a shared experience. A series of museum and heritage spaces across the city become stages for residents of the city’s artistic creation centres, who engage in dialogue through their proposals with the artistic, historical, or ethnographic collections preserved by each venue. This takes place within the framework of the Festival Grec.
