2026

On Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m., a new P.L.A.T. session will take place, led by Psirc, currently in residence at La Central del Circ as part of Trànsits 2026, the research and creation support program.

On this occasion, we will delve into the company’s current project, La casa intempèrie, in which two hand-to-hand acrobatics artists, internationally renowned in contemporary circus, experience an earthquake during a performance. They find themselves helpless — without a show, without a house, without a home. After acknowledging the pain of their wounds, both physical and emotional, the health authorities responding to the catastrophe require them to use clowning as a means of healing. Both characters become aware of their existential failure: they realize they are absurdly trapped inside a space with invisible walls. Desperate, they search for a way to escape this glass urn. Exposed within this abyssal interior, the protagonists attempt to build a house to save themselves, using 2,000 tent poles.

Anna Pascual and Wanja Kahlert are co-founding members of the company Psirc. Since its creation in 2011, the company has developed several productions, exploring and defining its own circus language. In addition to performing, they have taken on other roles within the creative processes of various projects. The center of gravity of their work is a love of beauty, humor, mystery, and art as a means of intuiting a reality beyond the human scale. Rolando San Martín is a multidisciplinary artist dedicated to directing and dramaturgy in performing arts projects. His close relationship with Psirc began with the creation of El meu nom és Hor and continues with the stage saga Després de tot. His work as a director and dramaturg is linked to creation and to processes that generate language, exploring the friction between different artistic disciplines and modes of thought.

P.L.A.T (Pràctica Lliure, Artística i Transformadora)

The P.L.A.T (Pràctica Lliure, Artística i Transformadora) is an open space where resident companies and artists at La Central del Circ have the opportunity to share, experiment, and test their creative processes, fostering exchange and dialogue with both specialized audiences and the general public.

The aim is to create a space of freedom and innovation that allows participants to get closer to the artist’s universe through the chosen proposal or format, without the need to present a full performance.

The activity is free, with prior registration, and includes a meal prepared by a local organization or one connected to La Central del Circ, strengthening ties with the local community and promoting an inclusive and participatory environment.

Capacity will depend on each artist’s proposal, with a maximum of 100 people. The plan is for the events to take place monthly or every two months, on Thursdays, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
