Training sessions with Manuvision return to La Central del Circ

Training
2024

The APCC and La Central del Circ are launching the third edition of the shared training series for circus professionals. Starting from October 1st until May 13th, we will be organizing weekly training sessions with the Manuvision team every Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. These training sessions aim to help circus professionals maintain their bodies while also creating a space for meeting and exchange. This activity is promoted by the APCC in collaboration with La Central del Circ, where the training sessions will take place. The primary audience will be artists, but the sessions will also be open to other professionals, such as trainers, managers, and technicians, among others.

The cost for each session will be €5 for APCC members and users with an annual subscription to La Central del Circ, and €7 for other professionals.

You must register for each session through the APCC website.

What are the training sessions like?
For years, Steffen Lundsgaard (Manuvision system) has been organizing training sessions inspired by traditional movement forms, “adapted to modern humans.” The Manuvision training relaxes joints and muscles, stimulates circulation, increases body awareness, promotes balance, and strengthens the body’s performance. The sessions involve dynamic exercises, stretching, and postures that relax the entire body. Breathing is focused and coordinated with the body’s movement patterns, and the connections between body and mind become more conscious. The training is also helpful for injury prevention. On days when Steffen is unavailable, a member of his team will lead the session.

Steffen Lundsgaard is Danish and has worked in the performing arts since the age of 18. He has trained in theater, dance, and circus, and possesses extensive knowledge of the body and its importance as a channel for both physical and emotional expression. He trained as a Manuvision therapist in Denmark and has been working as a therapist and trainer since 2007. He is also the founder of the first Manuvision center in Barcelona.
