Caixa d’Eines

Since 2019 we’ve been coordinating the “Descobrim el circ” program, part of the “Caixa d’Eines” project, promoted by the Eix Besòs Neighborhoods Plan. Within this project, we’re looking to coherently and organically amplify reflection and creativity together with the education, local and artistic communities.

Caixa d’Eines becomes a unique opportunity to ensure the right to take part in the cultural life of the city for the young generations, both in the way of participating in cultural activities, and the artistic and cultural practice and production. The program also provides La Central del Circ with the freedom to construct a network of collective learning based on art and education neighborhood communities, and preparing artists and trainers by offering them work opportunities within the respective Circus communities.

To be able to take part in this balancing act, we propose three levels of activities:

Cultural activities at education centers, encouraging participation in the contemporary creative process, and access to stage arts by means of direct intervention in the Besòs-Maresme elementary, middle and high school public centers
Educational activities at La Central del Circ, co-creating meeting opportunities between artists, social educators and teachers from the education centers in the Barcelona province
Community activities in the area, building connections to schedule community ventures and collaborating with the Besòs-Maresme network through the Taula de la Sala Carlos Díaz and the Grup Impulsor de Pla de Barris i Comissions de Festes.
