Open call for the next Artist Workshop, with Antonia Kuzmanić

It is open the call for the next Artist Workshop, ‘Degrowth and Contemporary Circus Practice’, by Antonia Kuzmanić. The workshop, intended for professional circus artists, will take place from 27 November to 1 December 2023, from 10 am to 13 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, at La Central del Circ.

In this workshop with Antonia Kuzmanić, from ROOM 100, we will focus on the possibility of imagining a degrowth-inspired circus practices on various scales and aspects. One of the main methods would be thinking of the implications of more simplicity in all aspects of making a circus performance and extending it further to the implications of finding more simple ways to live with and from the circus as artistic practice. This implies working with the material reality of production as well as creative and skill-based presentation.
