1st P.L.A.T, on March 20th at 7 PM, with Cie. Dissociée.

On Thursday, March 20, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the first event of P.L.A.T will take place, led by Marcelo Nunes from Cie. Dissociée, in residence at La Central del Circ with the support of circusnext. Through an installation and stage material, the artist will share the creative process of his project Hertz, which explores fakirism, clowning, and the interaction between dance and acrobatics with 800 kg of glass. The piece aims to question the limits we impose on ourselves, addressing themes such as pain, resilience, and the boundaries of the impossible. It highlights human contradictions and invites the audience to embrace their weaknesses to discover a more authentic and resilient humanity.

Marcelo Nunes is an author and performer whose artistic career is based on a constant search for innovation, influenced by his experiences in Brazil and Europe. His practice focuses on three techniques: trapeze, clowning, and fakirism, exploring the wild nature of humanity. Since his first work, Pacemaker, Nunes has expressed his vision of the world through a unique artistic language. On stage, he uses his body as a communication tool, creating an authentic dialogue with the audience. Through his creations, he seeks to foster a poetic resonance between the artist and the spectators.

P.L.A.T (Free, Artistic, and Transformative Practice)

P.L.A.T (Free, Artistic, and Transformative Practice) is an open space where companies and artists in residence at La Central del Circ have the opportunity to share, experiment, and test their creative processes, fostering exchange and dialogue with both specialized and general audiences.

The goal is to create a space of freedom and innovation that allows audiences to get closer to the artist’s universe through the chosen format or proposal, without the need for a staged performance.

The activity is free, with prior registration, and includes a meal prepared by a local organization or one linked to La Central del Circ, reinforcing the connection with the local environment and promoting an inclusive and participatory space.

The capacity will depend on each artist’s proposal, with a maximum of 100 people. The idea is for the event to take place every month or every two months, on Thursdays, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
