Registrations open for the training session “My First Company”, part of the Knowledge Transmission and Professionalisation Programme, under the measure “360º Support Circuit” (Circus Development Plan 2023–2026), led by La Central del Circ in collaboration with the Centre de les Arts del Circ Rogelio Rivel.

The first training session of this third edition of the programme will take place on November 4th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at La Central del Circ.

The session will be divided into two parts:

  • 10:00–12:30: “The Legal Structure”, led by lawyer Andrea Leunda

  • 12:30–14:00: “Company Sheltering”, led by Griselda Juncà, circus artist from the La Persiana Collective

When we carry out our own artistic project, such as creating a show, the question of which legal structure should support it is often a puzzle. What is the best solution? What commitments do we take on when choosing a specific legal form?

This session will explore two types of legal structures suitable for creating a first company: the non-profit association and the self-employed (freelance) regime.
Andrea Leunda, a lawyer specialising in performing arts and collaborator with the APCC, will explain these two legal frameworks and also discuss the artist’s special regime. Afterwards, Griselda Juncà, from the company Hotel iocandi, will share the experience of the La Persiana Collective, which brings together several companies that have chosen to share a common legal structure.

Andrea Leunda

Lawyer specialising in the field of arts and culture. Since 2015, she has worked exclusively for the cultural sector, providing comprehensive legal support in all areas related to professional practice, particularly in the performing and live arts: labour, commercial and public administration contracts, intellectual property rights transfers, taxation, among others.
She frequently gives training sessions for the sector. Among others, she is a lecturer in courses organised by the SDE and in the Performing Arts Production Training Programme organised by the Producers’ Network since its first edition.

Currently, she serves as legal counsel for the Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia (APdC) and the Association of Circus Professionals of Catalonia (APCC). She also advises companies, organisations, and entities that produce and distribute performing arts projects, and collaborates with public institutions.

Griselda Juncà

Circus artist. After earning degrees in Humanities (UAB) and Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature (UB), she trained at the Escola de Circ Rogelio Rivel and specialised in static trapeze in London (National Centre for Circus Arts).
In 2012, she co-founded the company Hotel iocandi with Tomeu Amer, creating the shows “Esquerdes” (2015), “Peix” (2019), and most recently “Conhort”, premiered in Fira Tàrrega 2025.

As a performer, she has taken part in numerous productions directed by Joan Ramon Graell, Ramon Simó, Pep Tosar, Voël, and Alba Sarraute.

She is a member of the La Persiana Collective, where she handles production and administration tasks, and is also part of the team of Nilak Itinerant Circus Theatre.
