2025

On Thursday, October 16, at 7 p.m., a new session of P.L.A.T will take place, led by the Circus Company “eia”, in residence at La Central del Circ as part of the Trànsits 2025 research and creation support program.

This proposal aims to be an immersive experience in the creation process of Secrets, a contemporary circus project featuring five acrobats. The piece, scheduled to premiere in 2026, reflects on the passage of time and the transformations it brings, with a special focus on making visible and valuing the things we often hide. And if time runs out? What would we wish for from our last shooting star?

The Circus Company “eia” (an acronym for “unforeseen impulses agreed upon” in French, and meaning “yes” in Sardinian) was founded in 2009 through the union of several artists: Armando Rabanera, Fabrizio Giannini and Cristiano Della Monica (Cirque Vague, Circo de la Sombra and Le Grand Osim Orchestra) together with Francesca Lissia and Celso Pereira (Celso i Frana). With fifteen years of collective experience, five ongoing creations, and over 800 performances in 25 countries, eia has become a benchmark company in contemporary Catalan and Spanish circus. At the heart of its creations lies a human circus, capable of evoking the complexity of human relationships.

P.L.A.T (Pràctica Lliure, Artística i Transformadora – Free, Artistic and Transformative Practice)

P.L.A.T is an open space where companies and artists in residence at La Central del Circ have the opportunity to share, experiment, and test their creative processes, fostering exchange and dialogue with both specialized and general audiences.

The aim is to create a space of freedom and innovation that allows the public to get closer to the artist’s universe, through whichever proposal or format is chosen, without the need to present a finished stage piece.

The activity is free, with prior registration, and includes a dish prepared by a local organization or one linked to La Central del Circ, reinforcing connections with the local community and promoting an inclusive and participatory space.

Capacity will depend on each artist’s proposal, with a maximum of 100 people. The idea is for the event to take place once a month or every two months, on Thursdays, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

PROGRAM 2025
