Application for a new Interreg – POCTEFA project ‘Eko, circus horizons’

This May 2023, the application for a new Interreg – POCTEFA project in the field of cross-border circus for 2023-2026 has been submitted.

This new project entitled “Eko, circus horizons” wants to give continuity to the work done in the previous projects: Circ Que O!, De Mar a Mar- Pyrenees de circus and Travesia-Pyrenees de circus.

This new bid will have 14 direct partners from Catalonia, Aragon, the Basque Country, Occitania and New Aquitania. The direct Catalan partners of the project are La Central del Circ (APCC), El Canal de Salt and Xarxa Transversal and it will count as Catalan associate partners Fira Trapezi, the Ateneu Popular de 9 Barris, Fira Tàrrega, L’Estruch de Sabadell , Tub d’Assaig de Terrassa, el Konvent.

Eco-responsibility is the backbone of this new project that proposes a formation and an improvement in professional activity accompanying circus artists throughout their journey of research, creation, and exhibition incorporating practices of artistic and social cultural mediation proposing new links with other business worlds.
