Circus Incubator (2015-2017)

Circus Incubator is an international project promoted by La Grainerie (Toulouse) in which La Central del Circ participates and functions as an incubator for circus projects that allows artists to develop a way of working that integrates both artistic research and a business approach.

Process()s (2012-2014)

The Mediterranean Pyrenees Euroregion is a territory renowned for circus arts, mainly the Midi-Pyrenees and Catalonia. Process()s was developed between Toulouse, Perpignan and Barcelona and with Aragon´s involvement, to foster the creation and dissemination of contemporary circus. It supported creation projects, the dissemination of numbers and short forms and generated meeting spaces with performing arts programmers. With the support of the Pyrenees-Mediterranean Euroregion, within the framework of the “CULTURE EUROREGION 2011” call for applications.

Circ que o! (2009-2011)
A platform with eight partners for the development of an internationally recognized circus area in the Pyrenees-Mediterranean area. The project, with a duration of three years, had three fundamental objectives:

– Valuing the circus sector in the cross-border area.
– Strengthen local and cross-border synergies between circus professionals.
– Strengthen work, the economy and creation, and support the creators of the projects.

Among other results, we must highlight the co-production of eight contemporary circus shows on both sides of the Pyrenees. With the support of the POCTEFA cross-border cooperation program Spain-France-Andorra.

TRANS- Mission. Circus Creativity Support (2011-2012)
TRANS-mission brought together four organizations that support circus creation: Espace Catastrophe (Brussels), La Grainerie (Toulouse), Zelig Association (Turin) and La Central del Circ (Barcelona). It was born with the aim of improving practices to support creation, production and dissemination in the contemporary circus sector. For two years, he gave intensive and continuous support to the creation of four contemporary circus shows, through residencies in each of the spaces, financial co-productions and support for dissemination in each territory. In 2012 he dedicated himself to broadcasting shows. With the support of the Culture program of the European Union.

Parcours croisés: une deuxième chance par le cirque (2010-2012)
Parcours croisés brought together four European entities that support circus creativity: Espace Catastrophe (Brussels), La Grainerie (Toulouse), the Mirabilia festival (Fossano – Italy) and La Central del Circ (Barcelona). It was a knowledge exchange program in relation to the community projects of each of the centers. For two years, internal work seminars were held in the different countries. In 2012, the meetings brought together delegations of workers and users of the respective programs who shared conversations and workshops. The program was supplemented with help from the La Caixa Foundation, which financed the community creation project of La Central in 2012, which united circus and elderly people.
