Open demonstrations

The open demonstrations are directed at companies that have a finished creative product and want to present it to a more extended audience, who has the opportunity to get closer to highly advanced creative processes.

EP

EP is the acronym for Extended Play. In the world of music its used to describe a recording format longer than a Single and shorter than an album. Generally, an EP has a duration between 20 and 25 minutes. At La Central del Circ we understand this extended recording concept as a format between number and long performance. The music acronym then acquires a new connotation: our EP stands for Extended Performance.

T.E.S.T.!

The T.E.S.T.! demonstration (accompanied by the residency with the same name) allows projects in the making to have a first staging opportunity similar to what they will find in a theater room. During two weeks, the selected project has at its disposal the Posada en Escena Hall, with all the technical facilities that its show may need and that the equipment can offer. The company will only be asked to bring its own technical staff (lighting technician and, eventually, sound and assembly technician). At the end of the residency, the company will open the doors of the hall as part of an open demonstration, with the aim of putting this first staging to the test, bringing a general public closer to contemporary creation, and allowing the professionals in the field to discover a work about to be released.
