‘Remake’, with Edouard Peurichard, Thomas Martin and Idriss Roca – 2025

From September 1 to 5, the LEC (Collective Experimentation Laboratory) Remake took place, led by the company La Supérette, around the performance Nous on n’a rien vu venir…, which is part of the project Le Cirque Portatif, produced by La Verrerie d’Alès, Pôle National Cirque Occitanie.

This laboratory is part of a long-term research project on visual play, initiated with the performance Nous on n’a rien vu venir…, a creation by Thomas Martin with Édouard Peurichard and the external eye of Idriss Roca, which combines circus and digital arts. In this piece, live experimentation is carried out with a green or blue screen and a television monitor, using circus techniques to question, under an appearance of innocence, the intrusive and often absurd presence of the digital world in our lives.

With Remake, the artists propose a week of immersion and experimentation with this same device: chroma backdrop, live transmission, and deliberate mismatches between what happens on stage and what is seen on screen. The aim is to further develop the format, opening it up to new performers, new circus writings, and exploring ways of transmitting and reimagining this stage language.

La Supérette

La Supérette is a circus and theatre company that creates performances light in form but profound in substance. They propose hybrid and adaptable formats designed to travel easily: shows that are quick to set up and dismantle, capable of existing beyond conventional stages.

Their works adapt to spaces as if they were their own playground, while maintaining a formal rigor and a marked taste for visual “do-it-yourself,” crossovers between disciplines, and fragmented narratives. Their practice moves between circus, theatre, digital arts, and installation, with the aim of creating singular stage writings that are accessible and slightly eccentric.

The show Nous on n’a rien vu venir… is part of Le Cirque Portatif, a project launched in 2023 that brings together various circus creations conceived for non-conventional spaces such as community centers, museums, libraries, or small venues, produced by La Verrerie d’Alès, Pôle National Cirque Occitanie. The Remake project is supported by the Institut Français of Barcelona.
