The Under Construction demonstrations are a very special moment of presentation by individual artists and companies that reveal a first phase of their personal research. The aim is that these artists can confront the first stage of their research with an accomplice audience.

After the demonstration, a conversation takes place between the artists and the audience in order to open up and stimulate observation of the work presented and reflection on the work itself. Under Construction takes place once every month and a half or every two months, on Thursday afternoons.

Dialogue table ‘Dramaturgy’ with Chiara Marchese, as part of the 360º Support Circuit of the Circus Promotion Plan (2023–2026).

To reflect on the concept of dramaturgy in circus creation, we will host circus artist and author Chiara Marchese, who has just premiered Wonder Woman, the final piece of an autobiographical trilogy that also includes Mavara (2016) and Le poids de l’âme. Tout est provisoire (2021, Circusnext Laureate).

Chiara Marchese trained in visual arts in Catania, Sicily. After self-taught experiences in tightrope walking, she joined the CNAC in Châlons-en-Champagne, where she resumed her artistic research and incorporated work with contemporary puppets.

The 360º Support Circuit roundtables are informal spaces for exchanging experiences related to artistic questions, knowledge, and reflections, led by established artists and companies.

This event is aimed at emerging contemporary circus artists based in Catalonia.
