EKO – Pirineus de Circ

La Central has been actively involved since 2008 in the design and execution of cross-border projects led by La Grainerie within the framework of the Interreg/POCTEFA program. One of the main objectives of this line of projects is to improve mobility, training, creation, and dissemination opportunities for local companies within the cross-border area.

Currently, EKO – Pirineus de Circ is being carried out, a European cross-border cooperation project aimed at developing the capacities and skills of cross-border circus actors to achieve ecological transition by combining training, creation, and experimentation.

The project brings together 14 partners from the cross-border area of France-Spain-Andorra:

La Grainerie (project leader), APCC / La Central del Circ, Bilbao City Council, Huesca City Council, Consorci Transversal, Provincial Council of Álava, Provincial Council of Huesca, El Canal / Ajuntament de Salt, Ésacto Lido’Pro, Government of Aragon, Malandain Ballet Biarritz, Occitanie en Scène, Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès, Ville d’Hendaye.

EKO is a cooperation project for 2024-2027 with a budget of €1,681,820 co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra program (POCTEFA 2021-2027). The aim of POCTEFA is to strengthen the economic and social integration of the cross-border area of Spain-France-Andorra.
