The sessions of the Caixa d’Eines project begin in the classroom

This January, the sessions in the classrooms of the Caixa d’Eines project are beginning, within the framework of the Pla de Barris. Throughout this academic year, the activities will be led by circus artists Nerea López, Javier Barroso, Mar-i-Cel Borràs, Jordi Solanell, Vic Sickness, Arrel Guevara, Sophie Núñez, Alejandro Dutra, Marc Bosch, Maragda Indurain and Carla Farreny.

The participating educational centres are the Prim, Eduard Marquina, Concepción Arenal and Joaquim Ruyra schools, as well as the Barri Besòs Secondary School.

In addition, as part of the project, during this month students from the different educational centres will visit La Central del Circ.

Caixa d’Eines is a cross-cutting programme of the Pla de Barris and the Barcelona Institute of Culture that uses the arts as a socio-educational and developmental tool for children and young people. It develops unique cultural projects in educational centres, providing them with the resources needed for collective and cooperative learning in activities of expression, art and creativity.
